Biography

“pointed, unapologetic, viciously fun, and punishingly aggressive” are all ways that Vancouver Island punk band Mean Bikini has been described. Riding the Line between hardcore and skate punk with a twist of queer rage and just the right amount of catchiness, the 4 piece from Vancouver island BC has been made notorious for not only their music, but their inclusive and energetic live performances that they’ve brought across the country multiple times in the last 3 years. From small rooms to festival stages, they have spent their career bringing their unique brand of punk rock and immense amounts of energy to eager listeners of all ages and show no signs of slowing down. Mean bikini has shared the stage with the likes of DOA, Ignite, Death By Stereo, Authority Zero, Fucked Up, Dead Bob and many more.

2025 sees them releasing their first ever full length record “This Ain’t Gonna End Well…” Recorded at the infamous Rain City Recorders and released via Outhouse Records. These 13 songs touch on mental health, the current political climate, collapse of human morality, with a few tracks thrown in that are just plain fun to balance it all out. As their most driven and ambitious work yet, this album captures the bands drive and spirit in a way that sucks the listener in and makes them feel a part of the music, then spits them back out into reality with more connection to the world around them than when they first pressed play. With features from members of Alien Boys, Rong/Dead Bob and a few other familiar folks, the album captures the spirit of community in a truly palpable way.
